Axel Fabry – From April 29 to May 30, 2009

He was born in Roeselare (Belgium) in 1943. He trained in graphic design studios, althought he is self-taught in art. At a young age he experienced the technique of bronze casting in sand molds. However, he felt attracted by modeling clay and terracotta works executed with a style of hard edges and bright. The couple is the central theme of his works.
The bronze figures of mythical air with mysterious traits are taking stage in his career The expression of these small sculptures is neutral, we find the action, peace and death.
Regarding the texture, we see traces of thrown stones or meteorites, they seem to spill lava.
He has created monumental figures located in public spaces in stainless steel with distinctive features that give character to his work.

Fernando Villena – From 3 to 27 April 2009

The question of measuring the world, and even the universe based on ourselves, to our standard measures based on humans, and its validity as the only possible, has led the artist to an exploration of both three-dimensional space (facilities such as Union lineal, One & Many, etc..) as two-dimensional (painting, photography and video), towards a blur of man as the center of the universe.
